As an ode to taxidermy, the latest video from the band Hurray for the Riff Raff featuring the song Buffalo is a gem.
I hope our time will never go.
The song is about time trying to take you down. Persevering and surviving is our lot in life.
A reminder of extinct or endangered species isn’t a bad idea right about now.
Time tends to take you down in one way or another. The fact that you're still around is defying the odds:
This year tried to kill us, baby
Well good luck trying, you can't catch me
Can we be like that? Running wild and running free? The album title sums it up: The Past is Still Alive.
According to lead singer Alynda Segarra:
I wrote 'Buffalo' about trying to keep a relationship alive in a fast-paced modern world where love can feel like it’s on the endangered species list. On a rare night off of tour last month, we took over the Field Museum in Chicago. Hanging with long gone creatures from ages ago and eventually ending up on a wagon ride with a herd in Indiana.
Until next week, dear readers.
